Vindaloo, is a much beloved curry blend that traces it’s origins to Goa.
Vasco da Gama, was a Portuguese explorer who was the first European to reach India by sea. Chili first scorched the bay of Goa on the 11th of September 1524 & reached the northern parts of India through the forming of allegiance. During the British occupation in India, Vindaloo was a popular dish. One of earliest record of a recipe mentioned in a British cookbook, is in 1888.
