The Origins : Avocado
Avocado or Ahuacatl (meaning avocado), originates from South America. The Mayans were the first to domesticate this delicious fruit, thousands of years ago. Studies show that avocado was cultivated as early as 5000 BCE. Since then, Guacamole or the as the Aztecs called it, ” Ahuacamolli”, was a popular recipe.
